Nautabú

Nautabú is the home of Höskuldur Jensson, Artemisia Bertus and their son Héðinn Fannar. Our main practices at Nautabú include horse breeding and training, riding instruction and veterinary practice. The farm Nautabú is located in the beautiful valley Hjaltadalur about 6 km from the University College in Hólar. The stable in Nautabú was rebuilt in 2015 and has now 14 boxes.

Artemisia Bertus

Artemisia was born and raised in Maastricht, The Netherlands. She is from an artist-family and the third of four siblings. She is the only one who got into the horse-business. In 2000 she came to Iceland for the first time, and settled there in 2002. In 2005 she graduated as a trainer and riding teacher from the University in Hólar. In the years that followed she worked as a riding teacher in Hólar, but also as a trainer on a few of the best breeding farms in Iceland. Today she is running her own business as a horse trainer and riding teacher.
